Job Description:  

  • Buy and sell lifting and hauling equipment
    • Locate, research, negotiate & close each transaction
    • Request and research history reports for purchases
    • Follow up with all paperwork - invoices, bills of sale, titles, etc.
    • Manage and or participate in equipment inspections
  • Ensure surplus equipment is ready to show to potential buyers
  • Operational Testing
  • Complete inspection documentation
  • Manage required repairs
  • Monitor and manage branch equipment needs – additions, dispositions, transfers and leases
  • Establish market pricing for equipment additions, dispositions, internal leases, and annual valuations
  • Some travel is required
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • +1 Years of equipment sales and procurement or +3 years heavy equipment experience
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Ability to create Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
  • Metrics:
    • Internal survey and feedback
    • Equipment bought and sold timeliness, and cost compared to fair market value
