Description:
- Study work orders, sketches, drawings and blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances that need to be programed into CNC machines
- Program CNC machines according to data derived from sketches and drawings
- Load parts, operator controls, set offsets and handle simple edits to ensure that conformance standards are met
- Model safety in work performance.
- Detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes and adjust and reprogram controls to meet the varying needs of the fabrication process
- Perform preventative and regular maintenance work on CNC machines and related tools
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting. Including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes. Adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing work tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Communicate completed projects to supervisor
- Develop continuous improvement ideas
- Performs various support functions to assist supervisor

Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude, ability to read blue prints and drawings
- Basic computer programming skills and experience with computer-aided design and manufacturing programs
- Experience with equipment, such as arc welding and plasma cutting.
- Possess a professional, safe and cooperative work place demeanor.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Great analytical skills and oral communication skills.
- Pass drug screen and Fit-for-Duty, clean background check.
- Must work well with others.
