Responsibilities:

  • Manage the equipment needs of assigned projects and deliver standard level of care as outlined in PEG Audit Sheet and Process Manual (QRC-MAN-02-2.7).
  • Receive and review load out lists from Project Managers and Engineers
  • Review with other PEG personnel project equipment needs to ensure overall equipment allocation optimization.
  • Review with PMs and other personnel the availability and locations of project equipment.
  • Ensure that PEG and PEG-Type Equipment is properly allocated, tracked, and billed.
  • Communicate regularly and clearly with Project Managers the allocation status of requested project equipment.
  • Review project drawings and other project-specific information to ensure appropriate equipment and equipment components are allocated.
  • Review and assist in reconciling intercompany equipment charges.
  • Regularly report on project status by maintaining updated records and notes.
  • Field, as needed, troubleshooting questions related to PEG & PEG type equipment.
  • Develop understanding of transportation rules and regulations for purpose of optimizing equipment mobilization.
  • Work, as needed, in yard or field setting to complete tasks assigned by PEG Logistics Manager. Tasks include, but are not limited to, equipment load outs, load test operations, yard inventories, equipment function tests, etc.
  • Assist in reducing the frequency of Company-Wide and PEG Recordables.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Secondary education preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team
  • Must work safely in a fast paced environment - many times under pressure
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Able to troubleshoot equipment problems and quickly determine corrective actions
  • Creative thinking skills to make continuous improvements
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Ability to confront people when needed and become a leader through example
  • Basic rigging knowledge
  • Six months of experience in the heavy construction industry or similar field  
  • Flexibility to work long hours as needed, some weekend work required
  • Proven record of high performance in service oriented field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred
  • Must be able to pass physical Fit-for-Duty Exam
